Bobcat Band Booster Parents Organization
Here’s a list of some of our activities:
MARCHING BAND: We need parents to help move the pit equipment on and off the field at football games, to help the students with uniforms before and after the games, and we need parents to travel to marching band competitions as chaperones.
COOKIE SALES: This is a very SUCCESSFUL fundraiser for the band. Have you tasted those fresh, warm chocolate chip cookies? Parents are needed to help set up and take down the cookie stand at football and basketball games, and also to volunteer to sell cookies.
FRUIT SALES: We need a few parents to assist Mr. Lee with the fruit sale mailings, getting the orders ready, and helping with distribution. In past years it has been Mr. Lee’s job to organize all of this, and it would be great if we could help him out a bit.
OKTEMBERFEST: Each year we host a number of bands that march in our Oktemberfest parade and/or perform in our marching band competition. We always need parents who can volunteer for just a few hours to help the bands check in and get to where they need to be.
MHS BAND SPAGHETTI SUPPER: We plan to offer this yearly as a fundraiser. No more door-to-door fundraisers!! We will sell tickets to family, friends and businesses. Parents and students will be needed to serve the meal and clean up. More information will be provided at a later date!
MGSA CONCESSION STAND: We need a few parents to help get this band fundraiser organized. Each student/parent volunteers 2 hours to work at the MGSA concession stand in the spring/summer. MGSA provides the MHS band with a donation in return for this volunteer work. This past year we earned $1600 to help pay for the Phoenix band trip. Mr. Lee has organized this fundraiser in the past and would like a few parents to take it over.
COFFEE CONCERT/MUSIC AWARDS: We need a few parents to help organize and decorate for our music awards and jazz coffee concert in May. Please consider volunteering a few hours of your time for a worthy cause.
Thank you!
