Class Reunion Information
MHS Class of 1972 outside the Roundhouse
Class of 1983- 35th Reunion
July 27 & 28
Plans are well underway for our 35 year class reunion…actually; we’re in the final stages of planning. There’s so much fun in store and we want all of you to be a part of it. The dates of the reunion are July 27-28. Here’s how the weekend will break down and how you can RSVP & pay for Saturday night’s festivities:
Friday night (free event, however donations will be accepted): We will host a picnic at Riverview Park in Reunion Hall starting at 5:00. Food will be provided. Please bring your own beverage(s). If you are planning on coming Friday night please comment below or email at marshalltownbobcatclassof83@
Saturday night: This will be at Elmwood Country Club. Cocktail hour will be from 5:00-6:00 (cash bar) with the dinner buffet starting at 6:00 (menu below). We have an awesome DJ lined up with a bunch of ‘80’s music on his playlist! In honor of our 35th reunion the cost of dinner is $35 per person up until July 1st, and then the cost will go up to $40 per person. You can pay via PayPal at: https://www.paypal.com/us/home and the account is MHS1983classreunion@gmail.com (**note this is a different email address than the one we’d like you to use to correspond with us**). If you don’t use PayPal you may make your checks to MHS Class of 1983 and mail them to: Sharon Whaley 1905 Campbell Dr. Marshalltown, IA 50158.
We will also have a silent auction on Saturday night (money raised here will help cover the cost of the DJ and other expenses and also help to have a little start up money for the 40th reunion). If you are interested in donating something for the auction, please comment below or email us at marshalltownbobcatclassof83@
There is a block of rooms reserved at Hampton Inn in Marshalltown. Address: 20 Iowa Ave W, Marshalltown, IA 50158 Phone: (641) 753-6795
Finally, if you have any photos of some of our last reunions, or even some photos from the “old days” email them to us and we will put together a photo board for the reunion.
Whew! I think that’s it for now. Should you have any questions, email us and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Attention MHS Alumni
Career Readiness classes at MHS are looking for successful alumni to share their expertise and help students prepare for success after high school. The classes are looking for alumni who would consider speaking to classes, giving tours of their places of employment, hosting short-term job shadow students or connecting MHS students with short internship opportunities. If you are willing to assist with any or all of these, please email Erin Weatherly at MHS.
National Honor Society students are willing to conduct building tours for class reunions. For more information on the tours, contact MHS counselor Meri Edel at 641-754-1130 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
