Day 6A – Cycle 27

 

We have a few yearbooks available for sale.  Please stop in and see Ms. Breniman. Cost is $18.00 per book. They are great this year!! You don’t want to be left out. Great for autographs and a keepsake to have with wonderful memories in.

 

Can you sing and dance?  Play the bagpipes? Do a magic trick?   We are looking for people who have talents to share for the annual Miller Talent Show!    Tryouts are Tuesday 5/28 and Thursday 5/30 after school from 3:30-4:15pm. Sign up outside Mrs. Benscoter's room (253) or Ms. Cohen's room (364).

 

Attention ALL 7th Grade students.  Are you a leader? Do you like solving problems and creating solutions?  Student Council is now accepting applications for the 2019-2020 school year.  Please stop in Mrs. Roberts room 351 or Mrs. Ellwanger's room 255 to pick up an application.  All forms are due back by May 24th! IF you are a member now, you must reapply for next year as well:

 

"Bobcat Bowlers: Coach Wilder would like to have an off season meeting to discuss summer workout schedule. Any student that would like to be a member of the bowling team please be at Wayward Social on Sunday June 2 at noon to discuss the workouts and finalize the schedule. Hope to see everyone there!! Go Cats!!!"

 

Next Wednesday, all XLP 8th graders should come to the HUB during homebase to hear about their XLP options at MHS next year!  At this time, you will also learn your individual times to meet with Mrs. Fritzell.

 

Adopt a Highway. The Adopt a Highway has been rescheduled for Tuesday, June 4th. Any student interested in participating should pick up a permission form from Mr. Augustine.

 

Marshalltown Arts Festival is hosting an art contest. For those interested, create a piece of art (with any medium) that resembles "What Marshalltown Means to Me". It is due to Mrs. Klammer or Mrs. Thelen by May 31st. Awards: 1st = $100, 2nd = $75, 3rd = $50. Winners will be displayed at the art festival on Sat. July 20th.

 

To the students who attended 8th hour choir performance yesterday----thank you for being a great audience!!!

Lunch for today: Spicy Chicken Sandwich or Fish Shapes w/Bug Shaped Grahams, Romaine Salad, Red Pepper Strips, Peaches and Milk
