BUS DRIVERS NEEDED

We are looking for bus drivers for the current school year. If you are interested in joining our team please visit the employment section of the website or call 641-754-1195.

Bus Policy

School Board policy 711.1R (Student Eligibility for Bus Service) explains which students are eligible to ride school buses. Transportation is provided to:

  • Elementary and middle school students (kindergarten to eighth grade) living more than two miles from the school they attend.

  • High school students (grades 9-12) living more than three miles from their high school.

  • Students in areas where the speed limit is greater than 30-mph and where sidewalks are not present.

  • Anyone who doesn’t meet the rules for eligibility cannot ride the bus.

The District would like to accommodate more student riders, but the demand for transportation precludes exceptions to policy. First priority is given to eligible riders.
