Counseling services

Marshalltown Community School District school counselors and Center Associates counselors will provide counseling services from July 23-27 for those children and families affected by the tornado.

They will be at Marshalltown High School, 1602 S. 2nd Ave., in the counseling offices from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, July 23 through Thursday, July 26 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, July 27. Counselors will also be available to help direct those who need additional resources.

Summer School program to continue

Summer school, also known as Bobcat University, will continue as normally scheduled at these school sites on Monday, July 23 including Anson Elementary School, Fisher Elementary School and Hoglan Elementary School.

STEM Camp at Anson will also take place as normally scheduled.

Summer Meals update

We will plan to continue as normal for summer meals this week with only these exceptions.

1. Marshalltown Public Library will be serving meals from Tuesday through Friday this week.

2. Due to the Salvation Army being out of commission, students are to join us at Lenihan Intermediate for lunch.

3. Rogers and Woodbury will be serving LUNCH ONLY this week. Meals will be served outside due to no power in the building (weather permitting). Service will be near the main entrance of the buildings. Franklin has added lunch this week.

Thank you for your flexibility as we strive to feed those in need within our community.

Summer meals are free of charge for those 1-18 years old.
