Text says You're Invited! Bobcat Ready Showcase Nights

Marshalltown High School will host Bobcat Ready Showcase Nights in October, giving students the opportunity to lead presentations on their academic and personal growth as they prepare for graduation.

The student-led presentations will take place during scheduled time blocks coordinated by each student’s homeroom teacher. Students will present their digital portfolios, which are organized around the Bobcat Ready pillars: academic readiness, career preparedness, civic engagement, and social-emotional wellness. Each presentation will include reflections from both students and teachers on individual strengths, areas for improvement, and next steps.

“Our students have been working hard to reflect on their growth and future goals,” MHS Principal Justin Boliver said. “The Bobcat Ready Showcase Nights give them an authentic way to share that progress with their families and our community.”

Showcase Nights are scheduled at Marshalltown High School on the following dates and times:

  • October 7, 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

  • October 9, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

  • October 10, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Families should sign up for a designated time with their student’s homeroom teacher via ParentSquare.

A FAFSA night will also be held on October 9 to assist seniors and their families with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Additionally, representatives from Marshalltown Community College will be available from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the welcome area near the main office to provide information about concurrent enrollment opportunities.
