Ten Miller Middle School students participated in the South Central Iowa Bandmasters Association (SCIBA) Honor Band Tuesday, Nov. 5, at Knoxville High School.
Participants spent six hours rehearsing for an evening concert featuring three bands: Red, White and Blue.
The participants, their instruments and band placements were:
Seventh Grade:
- Brianna Dean, trumpet, Red
- Jordan Blue, French horn, Red
- Abigail Potter, Alto sax, Red
- Emily Miller, French horn, White
Eighth Grade:
- Olivia Arneson, French horn, White
- Moises Garcia, tuba, Blue
- Skylar Lindeman, clarinet, Blue
- Victoria Johnson, baritone sax, Blue
- Ben Harris, alto sax, Blue
- Mollie McLain, French horn, Blue
Victoria Johnson also received the special honor of being one of 22 students selected for the Eighth Grade All-Iowa Honor Band.
