A group of Miller Middle School students volunteered to clean up litter along Highway 30 near Marshalltown on October 31 as part of the Adopt-A-Highway program.

The school has been a involved in this effort for five years and it is led by Miller Counselor John Augustine.

“It gets the students out helping in the community and hopefully it builds a better appreciation for the environment so they will not want to litter,” Augustine said.

The school volunteers as part of this program twice a year.
