Bobcat Students Take Home Free Books Due to Grant

Bobcat Students Take Home Free Books Due to Grant

Nothing beats the feeling of taking home a brand new book.

Our Bobcat University students were able to take home 12 new books recently because of the Books for Ownership matching grant through Reading is Fundamental (RIF). The Books for Ownership program is grounded in choice, access, and engagement. It also enables children to select new, age-appropriate books to take home and own.

Because of this matching grant, we have been able to purchase over 4,000 children’s literature titles for our students. We hope that the titles our students choose create a culture of literacy.

Each book costs $4 and the grant covers $2 of the costs, cutting the price in half. We used ESSER Learning Loss funding to cover the costs.

Check out the photos of our students and their brand new books!
