Teach Them To Swim Program
This Developmental swim program for Lenihan students is designed to acquaint swimmers with the pool and learn water adjustment. Float devices are used to encourage students towards water independence. Swimmers will move toward stroke independence and will swim several lengths of the pool unassisted when completed. Swimmers will learn personal safety skills in and around the water, including treading water, floating, swimming on front and back, jumping in the water and boating safety. Most importantly they will gain self confidence around the water and know how to be safe.
