The Marshalltown School District and the Marshalltown High School Roundhouse Renovation Committee have very exciting news to share! The public is invited to hear the news first-hand and join in a celebration which will take place in the Marshalltown High School Auditorium Foyer on Tuesday, July 9.
To date, administrators are sharing little information as to what the news might be.
“We want to share this exciting information with a public announcement, so that students, teachers, coaches, alumni and Marshalltown residents can rally together,” said Gary Schaudt, co-chair of the Marshalltown High School Roundhouse Renovation committee.
Aiddy Phomvisay, Marshalltown High School Principal, will be the master of ceremonies for this spirited event. It will include an update on the MHS Roundhouse renovation by Schaudt. And the highlight will be an exciting announcement from a special guest.
Many high school students will also be involved in the festivities–including the Marshalltown High School pep band.
Following the presentation, tours of the existing MHS Roundhouse will also be offered.
“This gives the community the opportunity to see first-hand how much the MHS Roundhouse is in need of these updates—for functionality, safety and more enjoyment!” Schaudt said.
The doors to the Marshalltown High School Auditorium will open at 5:15 p.m. with the anticipated announcement to be made about 5:30 p.m. There is no cost to attend.
