Marshalltown High School juniors Libby Crawford and Chandler Fisher qualified for the National Forensics Tournament, marking the sixth consecutive year of qualification by MHS students.
Crawford and Fisher qualified in Duo Interpretation during the East Iowa District Tournament held at MHS Feb. 14-15. The national tournament will be June 15-20 in Overland Park, Kan.
Several other MHS students competed at the district tournament, including Ryan McDaniel, Aleyna Bakirli, Elliott Weidenaar, Stephanie Ruiz, Megan Emerson, Natalie Kueny, Abby Snyder, and Ilene Finn. Their coach is Michael Goldberg.
