Marshalltown named Iowa Great Place: 13th Street, Roundhouse projects to benefit from $350,000 award

Two Marshalltown projects have been awarded funds totaling $350,000 from the Iowa Great Places Citizens Advisory Board of the Department of Cultural Affairs. The funds will go the 13th Street revitalization and will also add public art and landscaping at the Marshalltown High School Roundhouse.

As part of the award, Marshalltown has also been designated as an Iowa Great Place.

“We’re very happy for the designation as an Iowa Great Place as well as the money,” said Mary Giese, of the Marshall County Arts & Culture Alliance. “This is very good news.”
