A large group of students and staff gathered for a group photo on Oct. 27 at Lenihan Intermediate School. The group wore red as part of Red Ribbon Week and then “turned their backs” on drugs by turning away from the camera.

“Anytime we can get the kids to rally around a common cause, that’s a positive thing,” said Lenihan Principal Kyle Young.

Red Ribbon Week is a national campaign for people to take a stand against drugs. The week is sponsored by the National Family Partnership.

The Lenihan effort was led by the student leadership group known as Ricochet.
