Reading skills have taken off: Lenihan student exceeds goals

Ruben Mendoza wasn’t too fond of reading chapter books at the start of this school year. The Lenihan Intermediate School sixth grader was able to tap into subjects he liked and his reading has taken off in the past couple of months.

“He’s meeting his goal and surpassing it,” said Mendoza’s teacher, Shauna Smith.
