The Marshalltown High School Dance Team earned Division I ratings in the pom and jazz divisions of the ISDTA State High School and College Dance Team Championships held Dec. 5-6, 2013, in Des Moines.
The teams were among 280 schools competing in what is the largest non-private dance competition in the United States. Pom routines are most common, said coach Shea Stalzer, making Iowa known as the “pom state” among dance team circles.
